Pumpkin love
A few punches and embossing folders. A bit of patterned paper and ribbon. The result? A couple of super cute, fall themed cards!

Fall sponging
Around here, we are gearing up for school's first day on Friday. Only three more days to go before the girls climb onto that big yellow bus at 6:45am. Not that I'm counting down the days... But all this prepping has got me longing for fall's schedules, cooler temperatures, and crock pot meals. Fall has always been my favorite season, and with thanks in mind, here's my project for today!
Sponging is quickly becoming my go-to technique. I love how impressive a card looks with a bit of sponging. My husband thought that this piece took me hours! I didn't have the heart to tell him the truth. It came together in mere minutes. But that is part of sponging's lure for me. A big bang for minimal effort!

The most wonderful time of the year (according to me, anyway)
We are counting down the days until the first day of school. The kids, with disappointment. They don't want summer to end. But I'm counting down the days with excitement! Not only because the kids will be going back yo school, but because fall is my favorite time of year!
The days have that cool, crisp edge to them. Apple picking starts, my kitchen starts to smell like freshly baked bread and cinnamon, stews bubble on the stove, cozy sweaters come out of storage! Ahh, and our schedule, while busy, is at least somewhat predictable.

Little notebook
I found a cute little pack of notebooks at Staples and, with it being almost school time, I bought them! But of course, I couldn't just use them as is. I had to pretty them up! I remembered a project that I had seen on good 'ole Pinterest, and I did my own riff on her idea. Here's the link to the original project.

This project couldn't be easier and it comes together quickly.

I made a matching card to slip into the pocket, just in case I want to use this as a gift for someone special!
